Verma in legal tangle

Nishabd is said to be unlike anything that Ram Gopal Verma has done in the past. The man has a reputation of making gangster films, from Company to D and he also has a reputation of getting into trouble because of his films. With Nishabd, it's the title that's got him on his toes. Trouble in the Verma camp started last October when Sippy films, which holds rights to the old story Sholay, got an injunction against Verma and his company Ke Sara Sara. The Sippys and Verma met each other in the High Court over the appropriation dispute of the film and the director is still waiting to see if the High Court settlement will allow Sholay to be remade as its 1975 version. The Sippys sought a ban on the use of the words Sholay and Gabbar and over Rs 1 crore in damages from Verma for infringement of copyright and trademark, passing off the new film as Sholay and merchandising the character Gabbar Singh. And before the Sholay matter could be sorted out, the filmmaker has received another High Court notice, this time for the use of title name Nishabd.Bengali filmmaker Jahanir Kaugo said his film titled Nishabd won the Cinemaya award in 2004.Seems like this spate of court notices has left Ram Gopal Verma speechless too.

The actress stressed, "I am there to make my money, but no, my honor and my integrity is not up for sale. I never made money at somebody else's cost."I was very clear when I was going on Big Brother that I will do this much, I will not do this. Angry that he was not considered the best actor in 2006 despite what he considers brilliant performances in three films. In an exclusive interview to NDTV, Mammootty for the first time broke his silence on the award row. "I am a very hardworking actor for the last 25 years in the Malayalam industry. I may get hurt but I don't feel any regret or any disappointment. There are many awards to come so that would be different jury. Only this jury decided that I am not deserving. Another jury can decide differently, any superior jury can decide," said Mammootty.Critics say Mammootty apparently lost out because of his close association with the CPI(M). The actor is the chairman of CPI(M) supported Kairali TV. And to demonstrate their impartiality, those who matter in the government, apparently decided to overlook Mammootty for the award. Mammootty has won four national awards, 6 state awards and 6 Filmfare awards so far."I know I put my sincere effort to do all my films. Sometimes I fail, sometimes they fail," said the actor.Mammootty has five films on the floors including Mission 90 days in which he plays the officer who leads the operation against the killers of Rajiv Gandhi.Awards or no awards, Mammootty continues to rule the silver screen in Kerala and the veteran of 300 films says the best is yet to come.

Libra Girl Friend ! !

That pretty girl surrounded by a bevy of beauties (both male and female)-- yes, it's you, Libra! You're certainly not one to hang around alone. More to the point, though, you are very focused on looking good. As Libra is ruled by Venus, the Planet of Love, Beauty, and Aesthetic, your hair will always be in the latest style, and your fashion sense is as good as it gets. Many Libra girls wind up in the fashion industry for this very reason. As your sign rules the kidneys, it's also a good idea for you to drink plenty of water before, during and after a workout. As for all of that company in your midst, it's plain and simple -- the Libra girl can't stand to be alone. If you're not in a relationship (highly unlikely), you'll cling to your pals and always socialize with a crowd. And a happy group it will be, since you'll insist on harmony at all costs. Some may perceive your willingness to please as superficial and hey, some days, it may be just that, but your intentions are always good. Since Libra is an Air sign, you possess the qualities of an intellectual and will do well in school. Or maybe it's because you just can't stand the thought of an argument with the teacher! Whatever the case, you're bound to wind up doing beautiful work. Hot match-ups: The other Air Signs, Gemini and Aquarius, but bold, fun-loving Sagittarius really gets your attention.Not-so-hot match-ups: Pisces and Taurus; these two are romantics like you, but they're too cautious with affection. You want a sweetheart who's assured of their feelings -- especially since you aren't always so sure yourself.

Libra Boy friend ! !

If you want to date the most beautiful boy around, go find a Libra. This is a guy who is appearance-conscious to the max! Think chiseled good looks and the sexy scent of cologne -- yeow! Once you find the Libra boy, he'll probably be delighted that you found him, since being in a relationship is important to him. This boy always hangs around with the "in" crowd, so expect that all the right people will be seeing you both. The Libra boy is the original smooth talker, too. He knows how to say all the right things and will compromise to accommodate his girl. Nothing wrong with that, right? Well, probably not, but at times this boy can come across as a bit wimpy in the relationship, as well as lacking any real emotional or physical fire. Hey, remember, he's too busy looking good and being pleasant! That said, this boy is VERY good at spending money and will take you to meals at the best restaurants. Where schooling is concerned, he'll want to get into the schools which will make him look as good as he should -- think Ivy League here, for sure. And he'll certainly make the grade since Libras are possessed of great intellect. The Ivy League will be right up this boy's alley, a schmoozer's paradise which will prepare him for future ascendancy into the old boy network of his dreams. And you can bet that he'll want a beautiful girl by his side to complete the picture. Bottom line: If you can live with champagne kisses and caviar dreams at the expense of some real substance, find that Libra boy - and fast!
